DIY Deck Spotlight: Michelle @eclectic_art_witch

Celebrating community creations as we take a look at Michelle's incredible work with the Stretch Tarot DIY Deck so far.

Michelle has been sharing her work with the DIY Deck on Instagram (eclectic_art_witch) and her progress so far has been really inspiring. She is clearly a fantastic collage artist with a distinct, playful style. Check out her work and review.

Review

At the start of 2025, I found myself in a creative slump. I was in a desperate need for a project I could immerse myself in so that I could reclaim the joy making artwork brings.

I was absolutely delighted to find the DIY Tarot deck and book from Joseph Stretch. It absolutely ticked all the boxes for me as a long time Tarot student.

The book and deck are wonderful quality. The book includes descriptions of all 78 cards with keywords to consider, which is so useful, especially when in the process of creating each card. The book also includes a tutorial and example of creating collage artwork for your cards, which is very helpful and inspiring. There’s a huge library of images for you to use when collaging the cards. I was impressed with the variety of high-quality images I could work from.

The Stretch Tarot DIY project has helped me reclaim my creative spark. It’s been a magical journey as I work through the cards, giving me time to ponder on meanings and symbolism, prompting me to consider how I can communicate messages through art.

It’s so much fun to create your own, personal Tarot deck and having the freedom to create artwork that works for me and how I interpret the cards.

Thank you so much Joseph for your kindness, support and generosity with sharing the DIY Tarot project. It has brought so much creative joy into my Tarot journey.
